Welcome to Bark Avenue Wellness Pet Service

Red Light Therapy for Dogs

Red Light Therapy is a gentle, pain-free modality that uses specific wavelengths of light to support cellular function, circulation, and tissue repair.

Red Light Therapy may help with:

  • Joint and muscle discomfort
  • Inflammation and swelling
  • Arthritis support
  • Soft tissue injuries
  • Post-surgical recovery (with veterinary consent)
  • Chronic or long-standing conditions

Most dogs find Red Light Therapy relaxing and easy to tolerate. Sessions are quiet, warm (not hot), and always adjusted to your dog’s comfort level.

Why Combine Massage & Red Light Therapy?

When used together, these therapies complement each other beautifully.

Massage therapy helps release tension, improve movement, and prepare tissues, while Red Light Therapy supports healing at a cellular level. This combination can:

  • Enhance circulation
  • Improve comfort and ease of movement
  • Support faster recovery
  • Provide longer-lasting relief for chronic conditions

Not every dog needs both—and recommendations are always based on what is appropriate for your dog, never a preset formula.

What a Combined Session Looks Like?

A combined session may include:

  • Time for your dog to settle and feel safe
  • Observation of posture and movement
  • Hands-on massage tailored to your dog’s needs
  • Targeted Red Light Therapy where appropriate
  • Gentle pacing, breaks, and consent-based handling

Sessions are never rushed, forced, or overstimulating.

For Senior Dogs & Dogs with Chronic Conditions:

This combined approach is especially beneficial for:

  • Senior dogs
  • Dogs living with arthritis
  • Dogs with long-term mobility changes
  • Dogs who need gentle, ongoing support

Sessions are adapted to energy levels, tolerance, and comfort—always prioritizing dignity and wellbeing.

Veterinary Collaboration & Ethical Care:

Canine massage therapy and Red Light Therapy are provided as complementary wellness services and do not replace veterinary diagnosis or treatment.

Where required, services are offered with veterinary consent and always within scope of practice. I am committed to honest, ethical care—clearly explaining when these therapies may help and when they may not be appropriate.

Is This Right for Your Dog?

If you’re unsure whether massage therapy, Red Light Therapy, or a combination of both would benefit your dog, the best place to start is a conversation.

Complimentary Consultation:

A free, no-obligation consultation allows us to talk through your dog’s needs, answer your questions, and determine the most appropriate support.
